Welcome to Wallflower Event Co., where no undertaking is too big and no nuance is too small. Oh, and one more thing … there is no such thing as limits. We know those momentous occasions in your life are, well, once-in-a-lifetime. So if the only rule to designing them is that there are no rules, what would you dream to create?

Meet Raechel Hautchinson & Madison Seaford

CO-WORKERS TURNED FRIENDS, BUSINESS PARTNERS, AND CAROLINA FLORAL & EVENT DESIGNERS

When we met, it just so happened we both craved something similar: to freely create beautiful things. In 2019, we tossed out the corporate event scene in exchange for a messy floor of petals, flower stems, and styled event decor. But hey, we wouldn’t trade the mess for anything!

We both agreed that celebrating momentous occasions in life shouldn’t feel restricted, or like you have to color within the lines.

Get this: we’ve scrapped the “coloring sheet” altogether and given you full freedom. You get to make (or break or bend) the rules for what you want your event to look like.

Our only job is to give you our best and make your vibrant ideas possible. We’re not only up for the challenge. No, no — we live for it.

[Wallflower Event Co.] was great to work with. Having them set up all the decor and break it down was a huge help. The florals turned out amazing and I couldn’t have been happier.

I had such peace of mind going into the day knowing I could enjoy everything [we designed together].

Yes, we’ve got a few different preferences, but we balance each other out...

I love florals and the wild creativity of arranging them.

Curating events, for sure. I enjoy being a perfectionist with all the details.

FAVorite PART OF THE JOB?

I’m definitely known as the “life of the party” and will shift my schedule in favor of spontaneity. Keeps me on my toes!

Okay, I might be the “mom" of the group, but I’m always down to spend time with friends and family! So I’m like, the cool mom?

GO TO “ROLE” IN A FRIEND GROUP?

I’m in a very serious long-term relationship with my Silver Lab, Palmer.

My passion for events is only trumped by my love for dogs. Specifically, my Golden Retriever, Ellie.

favorite animal?

I’m not eccentric by any means, but I’d love to grab a drink with Frankie (from Grace and Frankie) if I had the chance.

I really resonate with “Grace” from Grace and Frankie. She’s savvy, intelligent, tough as nails — a woman after my own heart.

TV CHARACTER YOU RELATE TO?

I am a New England girl, born and raised, but the South has my heart.

I love the South, from collard greens to cows in my backyard, and I’m a born-and-raised Charlottean.

hometown?

Clients tell me that I make sales calls feel super comfortable. Probably because I keep things fun and upbeat!

I’ve been told (by Raechel) that my design proposals make people lose their minds. Whether it’s true or not, it’s definitely my favorite part of the design process.

FAVe PART OF THE DESIGN PROCESS?

You can find me cheering on the New England Patriots or swimming at the lake with my family.

I’ll often be working on creative projects like refinishing furniture or restyling my home!
